“”Barack Obama is doing the exact opposite from what Reagan did. I note that he is not predicting any sort of robust economic recovery, and there is nothing in his plan that will encourage growth for the next 25 or 26 years. In fact, his tax policies, regulatory policies, environmental policies, bloated government policies, all seem intentionally designed to weaken the private sector. He promises new jobs sometime in the future, but cannot tell us when or from what source.”.1) “Barack Obama is doing the exact opposite from what Reagan did.” .a)Reagan went into deficit spending for defense, Obama did for a stimulus package giving money to states and cities to build up infrastructure. Yes, it is true that Reagan did not say that he was building up the economy by building more weapons of mass destruction, but, he did just that. Also, at the end of the day, without any enemy vaguely similar to the Soviet Union, it is great to drive on repaired roads and bridges while driving on nuclear warheads is not so good..b) Reagan and Obama bailed out Chrysler. When Reagan did it, he lent Chrysler money for a specific time frame. When Obama did so for Chrysler and GM, he did so for a non-specific time frame by buying non-voting shares of stock. The hope is to be much quicker that Reagan and get out of the car business ASAP. However, it is almost identical..C) Abroad, the START treaty is a renewal of Reagan’s treaty and is, basically a copy and paste of the original Reagan, also, said that he hoped there would be a day without Nuclear weapons. Neither one said that they would take bilateral disarmament that far nor unilaterally disarm at all..2)”… there is nothing in his plan that will encourage growth for the next 25 or 26 years..” See the stimulus package. your numbers of 25 or 26 years sound 100% unfounded and absurdly unreasonable..3) “.. In fact, his tax policies, regulatory policies, environmental policies, bloated government policies, all seem intentionally designed to weaken the private sector.’.a) See Green jobs. Wind Farms, Solar Farms, installing solar panels through tax incentives onto people’s private homes, businesses and government agencies will create jobs in the US while, since most of our oil comes from abroad, using oil will create more jobs in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia instead of the US..b) Among others, Lee Iacoca, of Chrysler for decades now has made a very strong argument that nationalized health care pulls in jobs. This is why, with even stronger unions in Canada, his company moved many of the jobs (as GM and Ford did) to Canada (cheaper per worker health care)..c)This system involves, according to the congressional budget office, 5,000 new administrators (not agents with guns but administrators) for the IRS to check each form from every business wanting to get a tax break for providing heath care. The law is that all companies can choose – yes choose – to pay more taxes or to provide health care. No arrests, nobody breaking down doors. The IRS will have insurance companies, as banks do, send out a form to presented to the IRS. At 5,000 administrators and just under 30 million businesses in the US, that is 20 minutes per new IRS administrator per business to look over and answer questions about a single form..4)”…seem intentionally designed to weaken the private sector…” I have no idea what you are trying to say. It makes no sense to me whatsoever..5) “…He promises new jobs sometime in the future, but cannot tell us when or from what source.” See the Stimulus package and Green jobs..6)”…I note that he is not predicting any sort of robust economic recovery…”How many thousands of ways has he been called a liar when, basically, nothing he said can be proven to be factually untrue, but, either conjecture not proven true or an opinion disagreed with. He is a lawyer. Ask a lawyer what time it is and he will wait until he has access to an atomic clock online to have it down to the millisecond to prevent being called a liar. .Nobody knows when the jobs lost during the end of the Bush administration and during it’s one year aftermath will be back, so, he is playing it cool until both the people and economists start telling him that it has worked out.

    Hi Oliver,

I tried doing this with video, recording audio at the same time via Audacity.

Now, the funny thing is that 20 seconds of shooting the atomic clock online produces a 25 second video. So, what exactly is going on here?

    Thanks,
    Ryan
