   Mine didn't reset itself either. I had to do it manually.. What is this world coming to!!

   Well we have gps already, so if it had an atomic clock inside, maybe??

   The temperature readings are from internal electronics. Most clocks like that will give internal temps; some have the added feature of external (usually wireless) sensors for outside temps.

   The "weather forecasts" are just based on the local barometric pressure and aren't particularly accurate. For instance, rising pressure = sunny, but that could also indicate a front moving through and some rain, or falling pressure = rain, but that could mean the front is passed and the skies are clearing.

   Umm — transmit? They are designed to receive the US atomic clock broadcasts on shortwave (5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz from Ft. Collins, CO or Hawaii) and interpret the signals to reprogram the clock to the correct time once a day (usually 1 to 4 AM local time).

   You may find that the one with weather also has a relative humidity sensor. If that would be useful where you live, then it might be a reason to choose it over the other.

   The atomic "never set the time" time clock is the *only* clock I have that doesn't keep the correct time #srsly #falseadvertising #snoozebtn

   i personally would give up almost everything (except my family and their health) if it would mean we'd get our sh.t together. i agree with scot d., i already knew basically everything he said. and i feel i do my part. but for the rest, things need to be mandatory. screw the whole american ideal of "if i want it, i can have it and to hell with the rest of the world"…we're like a big fat bully who eats everyone else's food AND steals their lunch money. we need to make more intelligent decisions when we buy pretty much ANYTHING…and i think suvs and big trucks should be unavailable to the general public unless they can reign in the emissions on them. call me a radical…i'm just willing to do what it takes to get the job done. americans are spoiled and they need to grow up

    excuse me Mr Kaku, thats bull shit .. according to the enthropy thermodynamics law, time travel cant be backward… thats the nature of the universe it expands never shrinks or even frozen, and if it does that wud be the end.. Einstien laws allow only time travel in the forward direction as well known, but the oppisite is just came from ur hollywood mind.. of course u are more knowldeble in general than my ass, but I just see u like to make propagand more, I think that Dr Greene is more stable

    so-called atomic clocks actually run from an internal crystal timer. they incorporate a 60 KHz receiver that tunes a radio data signal broadcast from Ft Collins Colorado. The clock uses the data signal to correct its internal time keeping, so that it will stay in step with the reference. Because the data is digital, it can send info on leap seconds, savings time changes, UTC hour, day and year.

    the only jamming you might be able to accomplish is to cause enough interference to block reception, but that usually is done only once a day, late at night when school is closed. When the clock misses an automatic update, it displays an error flag.

    the old fashioned "IBM" school clocks were made to synchronize to the central controller, usually in the principals office. if you could trick the controller, all the school clocks would change in step.

    It depends on when it was manufactured. Get the 1st 4 numbers of the Serial Number on the bottom of the clock. If it is 0608 or higher, it will reset itself. If not then you will have to reset it. Got to emersonradio.com and click on 'Contact Us'. An option will appear in the middle of the screen for 'Important Daylight Savings Time' which will give you the instructions you need. It also gives a hotline to call for assistance – 800-526-7521. I hope this helps. I'm resetting mine right now.
