While that IS the coolest alarm clock ever, I've been looking at some projection alarm clocks that are pretty cool too. They project the time on the wall. My two questions for all manufacturers of such clocks (just google projection alarm clock and you'll get oodles) are:
1) Do they project only when the alarm goes off (which makes sense) or do I need to switch the batteries every hour?
2) What does the projection look like on an actual wall, in the real world? If you google photo search on projection alarm clocks, you'll get hundreds of pictures of various clocks, all with the same incredibly silly “projection beams” drawn out of their projectors… nobody in the world, apparently, has ever bought one of these things and taken a picture of it working, which makes me think that they really don't work too well.
Which is too bad, since when I wake up my eyes are frequently blurry and I can't read my watch to see what time it is. I would love to have four-foot-high red lettering on my ceiling saying “9:52 am” rather than the vague malaise I usually feel as I drift back off to sleep.
Also, every clock manufacturer should be required by law to provide models without snooze buttons. While your “coolest alarm clock ever” is cool, it does suffer from the same flaw as all snoozing alarms, namely that they waste a half-hour or more of everybody's morning.
And now, I'm afraid to say, you know.
