Projection Led Looking for title/author of fiction book. Dealt with out of body travel...astral projection?
I need help finding the title of a book. I read it many years ago...probably in the 80's, but it could have been published before then. It just keeps popping up in my mind! It was about a man whose daughter had joined a cult. The leader of the cult is capable of astral projection (out of body travel). In order to fight the leader, the father sees some type of "guru"(?) who gives him a "crash course" in astral projection. Learning to do it so quickly would supposedly lead to either mastering it, or insanity. Part of the training involved staring at a wall for hours(?) days(?). Eventually, the father learned astral projection, fought the cult leader while out of body, and defeated him by cutting a cord that lead back to his physical body. I think the cover MAY have had a picture of a teddy bear with a knife in it? ...and maybe a rat? Now that I think of it...the cult leader may have taken over the body of a rat at some point.... Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for any help!

how to fix a sony tv that wont stay on?
my sony xbr projection tv is blinking the red standy LED light. I found out that the number of blinks indicates a code and supposedly the code thats blinking says the tv is overheating. I turn on the tv and two seconds later it turns off. I know I have to have it serviced but does anyone know more or less how much it will cost to fix the problem...by the way I dont have the extended warranty and it is out of warranty.
Sounds like it overheated at one time and fried the bulb.....I understand that the bulb still turns on for a second, but the fact of the matter is, that the bulb got too hot at one point and it no longer behaves the way the TV thinks it should.
It happens all the time with projectors (usually because the projector is ceiling mounted where heat accumulates or mounted in a cabinet, etc.) I highly doubt it is a fan because if it was just a fan, then you would get a couple minutes out of it when it is started cold......when it goes out in a few seconds (even cold) it is a bulb.
Depending on your TV, it'll probably be about $150 for the part.......If I were you I'd check to see if I can get at the bulb with ease.....it should just be a small panel with screws in the back or bottom......the light bulb should be in an assembly that pulls out........the new bulb (if you purchase the correct one) will come packaged in the exact same assembly.
Go to google.com and type in your TV model number followed by "replacement bulb". You'll find out how much it costs in no time.
