I wouldn't classify us as “exhausted” after this weekend, more like “duh.” Brooke and I got up earlier than usual, took our time getting ready and messing around on the computer, and then got to SSCC 30 minutes early at 10:30, or so we thought. After waiting around for a few minutes outside waiting for the “shift change,” Fred came out and helped us realize that we were victims of the Atomic Clock Snafu, as I will now call it.
The folks that control the automatic clocks apparently overlooked the shift in date for the time change and we placed all our trust in our clock. Oops.
I was really disappointed that we missed church. It kinda through off my whole rhythm.

If it keeps track of time then it should be OK. My guess is the gears inside of the clock are very slacky. It seems it could be an atomic clock.

It’s worth noting that GPS receivers do not use Quartz timekeeping. They use a far more accurate atomic clock. He doesn’t specifically say that the GPS satellites use quarts clocks, but as the video is about this specific movement it could possibly be misconstrued.

The way things are going at the moment I fear we may soon see a lot more of the stuff in places we would never want it.
The climate today is comaparable to that of October 1962 and the early 1980's when the atomic clock was at 3 minutes to midnight. This time I fear we cannot stop this.
